Marvin Dewey, Ed.D., is the Vice President of Institutional Advancement. He has extensive experience in Christian higher education leadership and development, including a strong record in Institutional Advancement.

Dr. Dewey has built philanthropic programs to support Christian higher education in the U.S. and Canada since 1994. He has worked with annual giving, major gifts, alumni relations, planned giving, and foundation sources. In addition, Dr. Dewey has executive leadership experience across the spectrum of Institutional Advancement work.  

Dr. Dewey previously served as Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Associate Vice President for Leadership Gifts and Special Projects at Sterling College. He was the President of Taylor University College and Seminary (now Taylor College and Seminary) in Edmonton, Canada, and worked as Vice President of Advancement and Director of Development at North American Baptist Seminary (now Sioux Falls Seminary) in Sioux Falls, SD.

Marv earned his doctorate in Higher Education Administration from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, and a Master of Divinity from the North American Baptist Seminary (now Sioux Falls Seminary). He received a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from North American Baptist College (now Taylor College and Seminary) in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
