The academic curriculum combines theory and research with the methodology of experimental psychology, all within the context of a Christian understanding.

Geneva′s program is also comprehensive, preparing students in the areas of human development, social psychology, statistics, experimental methods, motivation, abnormal psychology, psychotherapy, personality, biological bases and cognitive psychology. Additionally, seniors participate in a seminar, which provides the opportunity to prepare for graduate school or professional careers.

What can you do with a psychology degree?

While you can pursue the same careers opportunities as human services students, psychology majors generally have a professional goal of counseling. In order to obtain state licensure, students will need to complete graduate training. The Master of Science in Counseling program at Geneva College provides this training. Our graduate students have had outstanding success in the licensure exams, scoring well above the national norms.
