You may be eligible to receive tuition reimbursement from your employer.

Tuition Reimbursement and Financial Aid

If your employer offers a tuition reimbursement program, be aware that the Financial Aid Office considers this employee benefit as part of your financial resources when determining your eligibility for aid.

If you apply for federal financial aid and/or scholarships, federal regulations require you to inform the Financial Aid Office, in writing of the amount of your tuition benefit. You must fill out the required form from the Financial Aid Office giving the details of your company′s policy before your financial aid can be determined. That form is available from Financial Aid Forms.

If the employee benefits result in an over-award of need-based aid, the Financial Aid Office may be required tto reduce your aid dollars. This could mean that you have to repay a portion of any financial aid you have already received.

If you receive tuition reimbursement from your employer, you can select one of two ways to arrange payment for each term′s coursework. For all plans, you, not the employer hold responsibility for payment.

  • If your employer pays at the beginning of the term, please provide prior to the start of each term, to the Business Office a signed letter of financial guarantee from your employer that confirms this arrangement. Your employer will be invoiced at the beginning of the term provided all documentation has been received by the Business Office on time. Failure to provide all needed documentation before the start of the term will result in your bill becoming due immediately, and you will be required to participate under option #2 below.
  • Pay your tuition yourself at the beginning of the term and settle up with your employer on your own when you have completed the course.

I understand that in the event I fail to fully satisfy my tuition obligation according to the terms above, each of the following actions will be taken:

  • I will not be able to complete course work in which I may be enrolled at the time
  • Geneva College will not release any transcripts
  • My obligation may be turned over to a collection agency
