Adriane Blake has been selected as the female student-athlete of the week. Blake helped Geneva to a 2-1 record this past week and in doing so tied the school record for team victories in a season at 23. Blake averaged 4.4 kills per game with a total of 44 kills in Geneva′s three matches. In Thursday′s 3-1 win over Thiel College, Blake collected 24 kills in the match. For the week, she also had 41 digs and four blocks in Geneva′s 2-1 week. The Golden Tornadoes sit at 23-5 in matching the record for victories set in 1986.

Gerard Muschette has been selected as the male student-athlete of the week. Muschette′s assault on the Geneva record book continued on Saturday with his third 200+ yard rushing game of the season. He picked up 212 yards on a career high 39 carries in Geneva′s 22-14 loss to Washington & Jefferson. Muschette also had a team best six receptions for 24 yards. Muschette has now compiled 1163 yards in 2010 and sits at 3399 for his career. Muschette surpassed Josh Mullen for third place on the all-time rushing list on Saturday night. He is also just one touchdown shy of tying Geneva′s career record of 41 touchdowns.
