Saturday night was once again alright for the Golden Tornadoes. For the third straight Saturday in 2008, Geneva's men and women managed a PAC sweep. This past Saturday, both teams managed victories against Thiel College.

In women's action, Allyson Clarke posted her ninth double-double of the season with 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead the way to an impressive 80-44 victory. Every player on Geneva's roster scored in the victory, including Renee Rawding's 15 points on 8-9 shooting from the foul line. The Golden Tornadoes rebounded from their worst offensive performance of the season in a 56-34 loss to 3rd ranked Thomas More on Wednesday. Geneva has an overall record of 13-2, which continues to be the second best start in school history.

Playing without long range specialist Bryan Hill, who was injured in the loss at Thomas More, Geneva spread the offensive wealth around in a 73-68 victory over Thiel on Saturday. Greg McDivitt did the majority of damage with 21 points, while Mike Ross chipped in with 12 points. Geneva dropped an 85-75 decision to Thomas More earlier in the week that featured Ryan Burns' 17 points off the bench, including five three-point field goals. With the split this week, Geneva holds a 9-7 overall record.

In addition to the doubleheader victory on Saturday, Geneva's athletic department enjoyed even bigger news with its annual Gold and White athletic open house. Geneva hosted more than 75 prospective student-athletes on campus. It was the third year that Geneva has hosted this event and the attendance on Saturday more than doubled the number that attended in the first year.
