It was a week to remember for Geneva's women's basketball team and senior Allyson Clarke. Clarke helped guide the Golden Tornadoes to a pair of PAC victories over Washington & Jefferson and Bethany to improve Geneva's record to 16-3 for the season. On the men's side, the Golden Tornadoes are suffering through their first three-game losing streak of the season after dropping decisions to W & J and Bethany last week. On the track, it was the return of "the Fox" as Andrew Foxenberg returned to the track for Geneva at the West Virginia State Farms Invitational and came away with a national qualifying time in the 3000 meter race.

Allyson Clarke averaged 28.5 points and 12.5 rebounds in a pair of victories this week. The senior forward started her week with a 28 point 12 rebound performance in a 64-60 victory over Washington & Jefferson. In that victory, Renee Rawding scored 15 of her 17 points in the second half to help hold off a pesky W & J squad. On Saturday, Clarke scored 29 points and pulled down 13 rebounds for her 15th double-double of the season. Playing the supporting role on Saturday was Michawn Rich who posted season highs in points with 19 and rebounds with 14. Geneva and head coach Ron Galbreath are cruising with an overall record of 16-3.

In men's basketball action, Geneva rallied from 15 points down in the final six minutes to take a one-point lead at W & J last Wednesday night. The rally came up short as the Golden Tornadoes suffered their second one-point loss of the season in a 76-75 decision. Justin Nardi played his best game of the season with 19 points, including three treys in the second half comeback. Greg McDivitt put up his eighth double-double of the season on Saturday night, but it wasn't enough for Geneva to overcome the hot shooting of first-place Bethany College in an 87-62 setback to the Bison. Geneva's overall record fell back to the .500 mark at 10-10 for the campaign with just one game coming up on the schedule this week.

Geneva's track and field team traveled to West Virginia University on Saturday for the State Farm Invitational. The headlines were stolen by fifth year senior Andrew Foxenberg, who posted an NCCAA national qualifying time of 9:15.22 in the 3000 meter race. Foxenberg finished fourth overall against tremendouse competition, including Division I athletes. Geneva's Dan Dillman also posted a solid effort with an 11th place finish in the men's shot put with a distance of 12.54 meters.

On the women's side, freshman Lisa Lyon was 11th in the 500 meter race with a posted time of 1:34.47. Nicole Okerlund (800 Meters) and Rebecca VanRegenmorter (3000 Meters) also turned in top 15 performances.
