Geneva's athletic action on the field has come to an end with the baseball team closing out its season last week at the NCCAA national tournament. The Golden Tornadoes were 2-2 on the national stage and finished fifth out of ten teams. Geneva finished the season with an overall mark of 18-18. Off the field, junior Derek Sumner was honored by the NCCAA by receiving the Hank Burbridge Unlimited Potential Award for Christian Character. Geneva's baseball team also received the Team Sportsmanship trophy at the national tournament for outstanding character and sportsmanship.

Geneva's athletic teams once again shined in the classroom throughout the 2007-08 school year. A total of 51 student-athletes were recognized with the Athletic Director's Scholar-Athlete Award. This award is handed out to juniors and seniors with at least a 3.2 cumulative GPA.

Additionally, there were 23 student-athletes honored by the Presidents' Athletic Conference as scholar-athletes. These students achieved at least a 3.6 GPA for the spring semester while their respective teams were in season.

Congratulations to each of the varsity programs for excellence on and off the field throughout the 2007-08 school year.
