Head coaches Jeff Santarsiero and Amy Russin will be in search of an early Christmas present on Saturday night as both teams will be looking for a turnaround victory against Bethany before both basketball teams break for the holiday.

This past week saw both the men's and women's basketball teams drop a pair of PAC road contests. In women's action, the Golden Tornadoes fell to Grove City 68-58 and lost a shoot-out to Washington & Jefferson by the score of 94-82. The two losses left Geneva back at the .500 mark for the season with a record of 3-3. Michawn Rich led Geneva with 15 points against Grove City while Rachel Barry chipped in with 11 points. Against W & J, Geneva found its shooting touch and shot over 57% from the field for the game, including 12 three-point field goals. Christine Carugati scored a career best 19 points and Beth DeLuca was a perfect 4-4 from three-point range.

Geneva's men's basketball team has dropped five straight games for the first time since the 1998-99 season. Previous to the loss at W & J, the Golden Tornadoes had lost three games by a combined 11 points. On Wednesday night, Geneva dropped a 68-64 overtime decision to Grove City. It watched a 14 point second half lead disappear and watched as Grove City sent the game into overtime with just four seconds remaining in regulation. Four players reached double figures in that loss led by Justin Nardi's 14 points. The Golden Tornadoes could not get going against W & J and lost by the count of 80-66. Rich Colick continued his early season resurgence with 19 points to lead the offense.
