After dropping eight consecutive road games to start the season, the Geneva College men's basketball team has now won back to back games away from Metheny Fieldhouse. On Saturday afternoon, the Golden Tornaodes defeated Bethany by the score of 78-74. The Bison had only lost one other time on their home floor all season, but Geneva College basically led from start to finish. Lambros Svingos scored 18 points and pulled down ten rebounds while Richard Colick scored a team best 19 points, including an 8-8 effort from the foul line. Earlier in the week, Geneva College watched a 15-point second half lead disappear in an 84-82 loss to Washington & Jefferson. Despite the loss, David Phillips was 8-11 from three-point range and scored a game high 27 points. The Golden Tornadoes ended the week with an overall record of 5-14.

In women's action, the Golden Tornadoes saw their losing streak stretch to three with losses to Washington & Jefferson and Bethany. In both games at the half, Geneva College watched both opponents run away and hide in the final 20 minutes. Against W & J, Michawn Rich posted her sixth double-double of the season with 17 points and ten rebounds. On Saturday, Beth DeLuca led the offense with 12 points. Geneva College is 8-10 on the women's side and will look to get back in the win column with a pair of home games coming up this week.
