The Geneva College menâ??s basketball team was happy to step foot back in Pennsylvania over the weekend. The Golden Tornadoes are currently struggling through a four game losing streak, all of which have come outside their home state. In fact, Geneva is 0-6 this year in games outside of Pennsylvania. The good news is that the final 13 games of the regular season will all be played within the borders of Pennsylvania. Over the holiday break, Geneva dropped games to Florida Tech and Flagler in Florida before falling to Thomas More in Kentucky on Saturday. The Golden Tornadoes currently have a 5-7 overall record and will get back on their home floor this week against Saint Vincent and Penn State Beaver. Rich Colick continues to lead Geneva with 17.6 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. Also averaging double figures are Lambros Svingos (10.8) and Dave Phillips (10.2).

Genevaâ??s women split a pair of games last week to move their overall record to 5-6. The Golden Tornadoes dismantled Carlow University last week by the count of 75-48 after a second half explosion extended just a three point halftime lead. On Saturday, the Golden Tornadoes watched two-time defending conference champion Thomas More score the gameâ??s first 12 points. Geneva played the ninth ranked Saints straight up for the final 35 minutes of play before falling 70-57. Renee Rawding (12.5 pts) and Val Hamilton (105) have led the Golden Tornadoesâ?? offense thus far. Geneva will host Saint Vincent and Chatham in a pair of PAC contests at the end of the week.
