Geneva spring athletics are in full swing despite the late wintery mix weather. Outdoor track and field resulted in multiple events with Geneva finishing on top along with personal records. The softball and baseball teams both fit in early morning games on Monday March 11 th in Florida before heading back north. Change in weather climates changed up the original schedules for the weekend as baseball and softballâ??s schedules were affected.

The track and field men and women teams traveled to Muskingum, Ohio for the season opener meet on Saturday. A total of 11 event victories gave the Golden Tornadoes a strong start to celebrate about. In menâ??s action Nick Edinger finished first in the 800 (2:01.76) and 1500 meter events. Edinger qualified nationally in the 1500 meter event with a time of 4:06.48, which was also a meet record.
