Campus Life

As graduation approaches, do you find yourself ticking off boxes on your Geneva bucket list? Whether you’re a senior trying to make the most of your last semester, or a first-year student looking for something fun, these are some great activities that you should do before you graduate.

  1. Hike to the G: If you’ve never hiked to the G, this is a must for your Geneva bucket list. Hiking to the G is a quintessential Geneva experience, and you’ll experience Beaver Falls from a whole new perspective. Find a group of friends and make the short hike up the hill.
  2. Do Something Fun on Reading Day: Many students use reading day to study for upcoming exams. While studying is definitely a good use of your time, consider spending your last reading day doing something fun with your friends before you have to tackle your final exams.
  3. Use the Zipline: Did you know that Geneva has a zipline? Over the years, it has been used by many Geneva students, but if you haven’t gone down the zipline during your time here, make time to try it out before you graduate.
  4. Take a Trip into Pittsburgh: Only a 45-minute drive away, Pittsburgh has many interesting attractions. Try riding the Duquesne or Monongahela Inclines or get lunch at Primanti Bros. A fun outing to Pittsburgh is a great way to celebrate making it to your last semester of college. So grab your friends and make some memories in the city!
  5. Go to MGN: This annual event is a must-do! MGN (My Generation Night) is an epic concert with performances by your classmates and friends of songs that define our generation. Whether you’ve gone every year or this will be your first time, MGN is a Geneva experience you won’t want to miss!
  6. Visit Buttermilk Falls: Buttermilk Falls is a beautiful natural waterfall only a 10-minute drive from campus. Whether you want to swim, take pictures, go for a small hike, or just look at the scenery, a trip to Buttermilk Falls is a fun outing to have on your bucket list.
  7. Go on the Mystery Bus Trip: Hop on the mystery bus to experience a night you’ll never forget. Last year’s mystery bus trip included carpet skating, pinball machines, and tinfoil hats. You never know what type of activities you might experience, but it will certainly be a night to remember.
  8. Attend a Genevans Concert: If you haven’t had the pleasure of hearing our student choir perform, you should definitely go to a Genevans concert before you graduate. Their hours of practice clearly pay off.
  9. Go to the Beaver Falls Humane Society Thrift Store: Do you enjoy thrifting? Check out the Humane Society’s thrift store located on the main avenue in downtown Beaver Falls for great deals on clothing, books, home goods, and more!

As your time at Geneva comes to end, make the most of the time you have left. Make memories with your friends and do activities that you haven’t done before. Let’s go out with a bang, class of 2024!
