Whether you’ve been attending Geneva for a while or you are just starting out, you may have already found that one place on campus that suits your atmospheric needs when it comes to studying. But what you might not know is that there are numerous nooks on campus where students with any study type can be productive. Here are the top six places to study at Geneva that you should check out if you haven’t already. All of these hot spots are Wi-Fi-equipped.

6. The Lounges in Northwood – Not many students know this, but Northwood is not just a place where Business and Psychology majors can study. There are lounges located on every floor in Northwood that are available for students of any major to study! For students who need limited interactions from the occasional passerby to momentarily distract them from their studies, then the comfy couches in the Northwood Lounges can help!

5. Skye Lounge – Skye is a go-to for many Geneva students because it caters to any type of studier. From the people watcher to the daydreamer, Skye provides a breathtaking view of the Beaver River and the mountain in Eastvale where in the fall the colors are a sight to behold. During the warmer periods of the semesters, the balconies off of Skye are also a popular, private nesting place for those who wish to study outside in the fresh air.

4. The Brig – For all you talkers and multitaskers, the Brig is just for you! Grab a meal and pick a booth because the Brig is the perfect productive place for students who need noise to study. The Brig is also equipped with televisions that broadcast sports and news so you can stay up to date on how the Pens game is going while you write that Humanities paper. Win-win!

3. The Riverview Café – If you’re craving caffeine or you’re just having a hankering for a Pumpkin Spice Latte, then the Riverview is the place for you to hit the books. Located in the Student Center next to the Brig, the Riverview serves Starbucks coffee from 8am-10pm Monday-Friday and provides the perfect atmosphere for students who are looking for a coffee-shop study-spot. It gets better. The Riverview takes flex points, cash and credit cards so there’s no excuse for you to not check it out!

2. The West Reading Room – For students who produce their best work in stone cold silence, then the West Reading Room located on the left side of the McCartney Library has your name written all over it. If the floors weren’t carpeted then you could probably hear a pin drop. The second best part about the West Reading Room is the free coffee, hot chocolate and tea that are served from 8 a.m. – midnight every day!

1. BFCAT – Beaver Falls Coffee and Tea Company wants every Geneva student to know that they are welcome to make themselves at home! For a change of scenery from campus, BFCAT can provide an eclectic atmosphere where the aroma of roasting coffee beans enriches the air and tickles the taste buds. Grab your friends, grab your books and don’t forget your cash because you’ll want to sample some fresh baked goods to go along with your steamy brew!
