Geneva College Now a Member of PA TRAC, Providing Even Better Access

Geneva College continuously strives to provide the best opportunities for every student in the community and enrolled in the school. The school recently became a member of the Pennsylvania Transfer and Articulation Center (PA TRAC) which will create key opportunities for students. As a member of this institution, the college will work to identify specific course and degree programs make transferring into the school easy to do. This may allow students who have yet to complete their education in other locations to take advantage of their earned credit.

How Does PA TRAC Impact You?

As a student wishing to transfer into Geneva College, you can now do so with ease. The college will recognize some courses and degree programs from other participating colleges and universities, which allows students to transfer those credit hours of study towards their degree at Geneva College. This makes it less likely for students to lose credits they already worked hard for and achieved at another college or university. And, it can enable students to remain on track for completing their education at Geneva College. Earning your bachelor’s degree does not have to take any longer, now.

Do Your Credits Transfer?

For the most part, students who are enrolled at other colleges and universities that are a part of the PA TRAC network will have no trouble transferring those credits. However, to find out if your credits do transfer, there are several things you can do. First, use the searchable databases to find the transfer course equivalents. While their names and course numbers may differ, the database helps you to identify the equivalents. This applies to both degree programs and courses themselves.

What Other Benefits Are There?

The new connection to PA TRAC also provides a key opportunity for transfer students who may have graduated with a specific associate degree. If you have completed an associate’s degree and you hope to advance your education, and that associate’s degree is recognized through the PA TRAC system, you may be able to enter Geneva College as a junior rather than a freshman. This is done through the statewide Program-to-Program Articulation.

Also important is the 30-Credit Transfer Framework. This allows for students to earn the equivalent of a full year of education with the guarantee that those credits, all 30 of them, will transfer to Geneva College. The good news is that there are 14 community colleges as well as 14 universities in Pennsylvania that are a part of the PA TRAC program, amplifying your chances of making this transition easy to do.

How Can You Get Started?

Now is a fantastic time to further your education. Take the time to look through the Geneva College majors to find the degree program that is right for you. You can use the searchable database to ensure your credits previously received from a PA TRAC school apply. And, you may wish to take the time to check out our adult degree programs which make going back to school at any age easy to do. Geneva College is proud to be the only Council for Christian Colleges & Universities member to be a part of the program. We welcome you to take the time to see just how quickly you can earn your bachelor’s degree through this program.
