Graduation Day is Saturday, May 9, 2015

Undergraduate Commencement will be held outside at Reeves Field at 10 a.m.

Adult and Master's Commencement will be held in Metheney Fieldhouse at 3 p.m.

Tickets will not be required for either ceremony.


Friday, April 17, 6 p.m.

This student-only celebration will be a time of celebration and an official induction into the Alumni Association. This special dinner will be held on Friday, April 17 at Shakespeare’s Restaurant in Ellwood City, PA. All graduating seniors are invited to attend this event. Registration will begin at Grad Finale and the cost is $5 per student. The cost includes an alumni t-shirt.


Friday, May 8, 7 p.m.

Speaker: Dr. Robert Frazier, Department of Bible, Christian Ministry and Philosophy

Baccalaureate will be held in Metheny Fieldhouse. Graduating seniors should assemble in the back of the field house by 6:30 p.m. The program is a worship service and an appropriate way to thank God for His provisions to our students and to commit them to His care for all their future endeavors. We encourage you to come for this special worship celebration. Please note that graduates will process in cap and gown.

Undergraduate Commencement

Saturday, May 9, 10 a.m.

The event begins at 10 a.m. Students should gather in the John H. White Chapel by 8:45 a.m. to receive instructions.

This year we are planning to hold Commencement outside at Reeves Field. The duration of the event is approximately two hours. If the weather does not cooperate, the ceremony will be moved into Metheny Fieldhouse. You can check the Commencement Hotline (724-847-6100) for location updates.

The 2015 undergraduate commencement speaker will be Pastor Kent Chevalier, a 1999 graduate of Geneva College with a Bachelor of Arts in Community Ministry. Pastor Chevalier is the Wexford Campus Pastor of North Way Christian Community. Kent’s wife, Erica J. (Snyder) Chevalier, is also a 1999 graduate of Geneva.

Adult Degree Programs and Graduate COMMENCEMENT

Saturday, May 9, 3 p.m.

The ceremony will be held in Metheny Fieldhouse. No tickets required. There will be a reception following the ceremony in the tents on the lawn of Old Main.

The 2015 adult degree programs and graduate commencement speaker will be Dr. Ralph Phillips.

  • Please take a moment to fill out our First Destinations survey! We appreciate you and want to hear about your future!
  • Apply to graduate – Registrar’s Office
  • Attend Grad Finale – Benedum Room on March 30, 2015
    • Pick up cap and gown
    • Verify graduation information
    • Pick up Commencement Tickets
    • Sign up for Senior Send-Off and alumni online community
    • Request special accommodations
  • Honors cords may be picked up in the Registrar’s office beginning May 4, 2015
  • Attend Senior Send-Off (optional but registration required) on April 17, 2015
  • Attend Baccalaureate (optional) on May 8, 2015
  • Attend Graduation on May 9, 2015
    • Report to John White Chapel – 8:45 a.m.
    • Wear comfortable shoes. You will be walking from Old Main to Reeves Field and up and down the bleachers.
    • Caps are worn as level as possible, tassels to the right.

2015 Honors Graduates

Students will be recognized at Commencement for honors based on their GPA at the conclusion of the fall semester. For a few, this may change after final spring semester grades are processed. The FINAL honors designation will be posted on transcripts and diplomas.

Honor cords may be picked up in the registrar’s office beginning May 4, 2015. Pictures of honor grads and class officers will be taken commencement morning in Skye Lounge at 8 a.m. Students may check this Web page the afternoon of May 18 for an updated list. Honors for August graduates will not be final until all coursework is completed.
