Why a CACREP-Accredited MA in Counseling from Geneva?

Geneva College’s Master of Arts in Counseling program prepares you for a career as a mental health professional by giving you practical experience in a variety of contexts—centered around an academically rigorous Christian curriculum. Study online, on campus, or in a hybrid format in one of three CACREP-accredited concentrations so you can pursue your calling in a way that fits your life.

Rigorous Academics, Real-World Preparation

Our curriculum covers developmental theory, counseling techniques, assessment, ethics, multicultural awareness, and group work—foundations essential for CACREP accreditation and professional readiness. Through practicum and internship placements under ongoing faculty supervision, you’ll develop both competence and conviction for service.

Flexible Delivery Options

Geneva’s MA in Counseling program offers three delivery options—fully online with low residency, combining asynchronous coursework with live, interactive sessions plus a one-week summer residency on campus; traditional on-campus cohorts running 14-week terms in a close-knit, relational learning community; and a hybrid model that blends the best of both formats for maximum flexibility. The curriculum spans 17 courses (plus practicum and internship), totaling 60 credit hours, and can be completed in two to four years (full- or part-time).
