Academic Distinctives

During the 2023 academic year, Dr Ward attended and presented at the Pennsylvania Communication Association (PCA), National Communication Association (NCA), Religious Communication Association (RCA), and the Eastern Communication Association (ECA).

He also served as Awards Committee Chair for the Philosophy of Communication Division for the NCA. He served as President for the PCA, and he reviewed paper submissions for the RCA and NCA.

In 2023, Dr. Ward published a journal article titled, "Familiar Feedback: Artificial Intelligence and Cybernetic Companionship in Question-Asking Conversations Between Parents and their Children" in Listening: Journal of Communication Ethics and Religion.
