BEAVER FALLS, Pa.- Geneva College will be holding a family weekend for the parents of currently enrolled students. The event begins on Friday, February 11, 2005 at 3:30pm and will end on Saturday, February 12, 2005 following a coffee house at 7:00 P.M. Registration will begin at 4:30 in Alexander Hall. The purpose of this event is to invite parents to spend time with their students, while becoming familiar with the campus as well as the faculty and staff.
The weekend will start off with a lecture by Dr. John M. Perkins, the president of the John M. Perkins foundation and founder of Voice of Calvary Ministry. Voice of Calvary is a Christ centered ministry that impacts needy communities. He is also the founder of the Christian Community Development Council, a nationwide evangelical community development organization. Following registration, dinner will be served in Alexander Hall, giving the parents a chance to experience Geneva′s wonderful food.
A Faculty and Staff talent show will start at 7:30 P.M. and will be open to the public. Tickets are required for this event and can be purchased in advance from the Music Department or the Public Relations Office. They will also be available before the show in the lobby of Old Main. The price is $6 for adults and $2 for students if bought in advance. If bought at the door, the cost is $7 for adults and $3 for students.
