BEAVER FALLS, Pa.- Joseph E. Peters, Ph.D. was certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) as a American Board of Professional Psychology Diplomate in clinical psychology.
There are approximately 5,460 licensed psychologists in Pennsylvania. The state has 139 diplomates, 58 which hold clinical psychology certifications.
Peters traveled to Boston for an oral exam before the board in February and received notification by the ABPP that he had passed in early March.
He pursued the approved clinical supervisor certification through the Center for Credentialing and Education in 2005. The Center for Credentialing and Education indicates that there are 22 approved Clinical Supervisors in Pennsylvania, including Peters.
Peters frequently sets goals to achieve professional advancements in psychology. These designations attest to his educational background, knowledge, skills and competencies in psychology.
