BEAVER FALLS, Pa.- College Hill residents met with representatives from the Beaver Falls Fire Department and Geneva regarding the planned burning of two college owned houses. Residents were concerned that the fire could spread to neighboring homes on 4th Avenue.
Although the possibility that the controlled fire would spread is low, the fire department and the college agreed not to burn the houses Sat., July 30. The Beaver Falls Fire Department still plans to do some training during the evenings the week of July 25.
The two houses owned by the college are Trenschel House, located at 3115 Fourth Ave., and Buch House, located at 3111 Fourth Ave. Complete demolition of both houses will begin Mon., Aug. 1.
