BEAVER FALLS, Pa. -Geneva will celebrate its 125th year in Beaver Falls Saturday, Oct. 8 at its homecoming this year. The festivities will include a parade up Main Street in Beaver Falls, a festival on campus, and a football game against Malone College.
The festivities begin with the College Hill festival on campus from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. More than 30 craft and food vendors will participate. Activities for children, students, and adults include the zip line, face painting, carnival games, coloring contests, and free concerts by New Song and local praise bands. Representatives from Old Economy Village will demonstrate various trades from the 1880′s and provide exhibits of the Harmony Society.
The parade will begin at 12:30 p.m. at 7th Avenue and 10th Street. Over 70 units from floats to fire trucks will travel up Main Street to Geneva. Northbound and southbound traffic on Route 18 will be rerouted during the parade.
A special pre-game show to recognize Geneva′s homecoming court and to announce the 2005 homecoming king and queen will begin at 6:30 p.m.
The day′s festivities will end with a college football game between Geneva and Malone College at 7 p.m. Tickets to the game are $6 for reserved, $5 general and $3 for students.
