Oct. 5 Disability Awareness Week: Kathy McGillivray will give two lectures. The first lecture titled, "Access, a Two-Way Street," will be held at 10:10 a.m. in Northwood 013. The second lecture titled, "Disabiliy and Faith Communities," will be held at 7 p.m. in Northwood 013. Oct. 7 Disability Awareness Week: Joyce A. Benderwill give a lecture on "Paychecks, not Pity" at 12 p.m. in Alexander Hall. R.S.V.P. to Nancy Smith, director of ACCESS, by September 30 by phone: 724-847-5005 or email: djcashdo@geneva.edu.

Oct. 7 Beyond the Bend dessert reception will be held at 8 p.m. on the corner of College Avenue and 31st Street. The reception officially marks the beginning of Geneva′s fundraising project, Beyond the Bend. The college plans to raise $5.7 million to improve the campus as Route 18 is relocated by Penn DOT in the fall of 2006. The event is free and open to the public. Oct. 8 Geneva & Beaver Falls celebrate 125 years. Festivities include: the College Hill Festival, a street fair featuring food, arts and crafts, and entertainment from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; a parade that begins on Main Street in Beaver Falls at 10th Street at 12:30 and proceeds to Geneva; and a college football game at Reeves Field between Geneva and Malone College at 7 p.m. Tickets to the football game are $6 for reserved, $5 general and $3 for students. Oct. 15 Golden Tornado football game against Quincy University at Reeves Field at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 for general admission and $3 for students.
