BEAVER FALLS, Pa.- Geneva and the Beaver Falls Main Street program celebrate Geneva′s 125 years in Beaver Falls with a parade up Main Street Beaver Falls Saturday, Oct. 8 at 12:30 p.m.
The parade will begin at 7th Avenue and 10th Street near Athen′s Restaurant in Beaver Falls and will proceed north to Geneva College. Over 70 units from floats to fire trucks will participate in the parade. The theme of the parade is, "Geneva and Beaver Falls celebrating 125 years."
Many merchants in Beaver Falls will join the 125 year celebration by decorating their store windows and offering a special 125 sale on select items. Participating merchants include Athen′s Restaurant, Sunoco Mini Mart, Tri Valley Travel, Mary Bride and Formal, Angel Hair and Nails, ESB Bank, The Tax Place, Morrow Motors, Grandma′s Attic, Wolfes Shoes and Clothing, Cable Creations, Bianco Floral & Gifts, Mervis Professional Pharmacy, and Beaver Falls Beauty Academy.
Motorist advisory: Route 18 traffic will be rerouted during the parade. In addition, Route 18 traffic on College Hill will be rerouted from 32nd Street to 31st Street all day Saturday.
