Pittsburgh, PA - After dropping its first match of the day at the CMU Invitational on Saturday, Geneva was in serious need of a victory having lost four straight. The Golden Tornadoes got what they needed by salvaging a split with a victory over Nazareth College in the second match of the day 3-1. Geneva started the day by dropping a 3-2 decision to Gettysburg College. With the split, Geneva moved its overall record to 8-6.

It was, for more or less, the Megan Summers show on Saturday. Summers combined for 30 kills in two matches on Saturday. In the victory over Nazareth, Summers threw down 13 kills and added four blocks and four service aces. Also impressive on the service line was Faith Guerra, who had a team best six service aces in the victory over Nazareth.

Blair Bruce played a big role in Geneva′s victory with a double-double. She had 12 kills to go along with ten digs. Allison Seldomridge combined for 58 digs and Caryn Azure added 82 assists on Saturday.

Geneva will be back in action next Wednesday when it travels to Carlow University. The Golden Tornadoes will host Mt. Vernon Nazarene on Thursday night.
