Pittsburgh, PA – One week ago, Geneva opened a 2-0 lead against Point Park, only to watch the Pioneers rally for a 3-2 victory. On Wednesday night, the Golden Tornadoes were not about to let that happen again. The Golden Tornadoes closed out their sweep against Carlow University by the score of 3-0. The victory moved Geneva to 7-8 overall, including a 3-2 mark in the AMC North.

Megan Summers continued to shine for the Golden Tornadoes as she helped lead the way on both ends of the court. Summers threw down 11 kills and added three blocks and five service aces. Summers was part of the 20 service performance for the Golden Tornadoes. Marisa Barickman chipped in from the service line with four aces to go along with her team best 12 kills. Faith Guerra, who is fifth in the AMC in aces, did her part with six aces to help Geneva′s winning cause.

Caryn Azure continued to quarterback the offense with 32 assists, while senior Allison Seldomridge had nine digs and played a solid floor game all night.

Geneva will begin a stretch of three home matches in as many nights on Thursday. On successive days, the Golden Tornadoes will welcome Mt. Vernon Nazarene, Notre Dame College and Ursuline College to Metheny Fieldhouse.
