BEAVER FALLS, Pa. - This year′s Multi-State Intercollegiate Forensics Tournament was held at Geneva College on Feb. 10, 2007.

Along with ten other colleges and universities, Geneva College had 11 of its students compete in events such as prose, poetry, dramatic duo, single dramatic interpretation, extemporaneous, impromptu, informative, religious informative, persuasive and after dinner speaking.

In all, Geneva won four awards including: Kelly Yerxa and Jon Rhoden, third-place dramatic duo; Melissa Bloomberg, fourth-place informative; Christine Kelly and Elliott Livenspire, fifth-place dramatic duo; and Ashley Yarborough, sixth-place persuasion.

Geneva competed against Alderson-Broaddus (W.Va.) College, Bridgewater (Va.) College, Fairmont (W.Va.) State University, Grove City (Pa.) College, Malone (Ohio) College, Marietta (Ohio) College, Ohio Valley (W.Va.) University, Penn State-Beaver, University of Akron and West Virginia-Parkersburg.
