Beaver Falls, PA - Amy Pearce enjoyed a career year for Geneva′s softball team this spring. Tying the school record for hits (66) and home runs (9) in a year, Pearce′s accomplishments did not go unnoticed as she was named a first-team All-Conference selection, along with two of her teammates.

Joining Pearce on the first team was junior Jackie Anthony and sophomore Ashley Archer. Anthony hit .331 with 24 stolen bases, while Archer compiled 14 victories and three saves during Geneva′s 33-22 season.

Pearce and Anthony were also selected to the NAIA Region 9 first team, while Pearce also garnered first team All-American status in the NCCAA.

Teammates Marisa Barickman and Erinne Metler were second team selections. The two seniors played significant roles in Geneva′s success throughout their careers. Barickman had a career high 49 hits this year, while Metler finished her season at 19-11 on the mound. Metler won 51 games during her career, which broke Geneva′s all-time record for pitching victories.

Sophomore Michawn Rich was named an honorable mention selection in the AMC North, while also being named a second team NCCAA All-American, along with Metler.
