chuck_knox.jpgBeaver Falls, Pa -- Charles M. Knox Jr. is named the new director of planned giving at Geneva College. Knox′s role at Geneva will be to facilitate the giving of charitable gifts of estate, appreciated stock and trusts to the college, and generally increase deferred giving among its alumni.

Knox says, "Essentially, I help people understand how these donations benefit the individual, while at the same time benefiting Geneva College."

Knox comes to Geneva with over 20 years of insurance, financial planning and development experience. Some of his previous responsibilities include: director of development and planned giving with Erie City Mission in Erie, Pennsylvania; assistant vice president of Back to the Bible Foundation in Lincoln, Nebraska; planned giving officer for St. Barnabus Health System in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania; project manager of Golomb Glass Company/Columbia Architectural Metals in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and vice president of sales and distribution of Hampton Concrete Products in Valencia, Pennsylvania.

In addition to his extensive employment history, he is also an active member in his church community. Over the past 30 years, he has served as the chairman of the deacon board, assistant financial secretary, salary and finance committee member, governing board member and adult Sunday school teacher. He also teaches classes on budgeting and biblical stewardship.

Knox graduated with a degree in engineering from Pennsylvania State University and completed studies at the Institute for Management Studies at Robert Morris University. He also held a NASD Securities License and has completed the Financial Planner and Consultant education program. Charles lives in Butler, Pennsylvania with his wife Ellen. They have three adult children, Chal (Charles III), Suzannah and Lindsay.
