Beaver Falls, PA – Tunch Ilkin and Craig Wolfley have the reputation of being able to entertain and educate at all football levels. Last week, the former Steeler duo brought their act to Reeves Field for a three-day lineman camp titled “Iron Sharpens Iron”. The camp, which was held for junior high, high school and college aged kids, focused solely on offensive and defensive lineman play. Over 35 kids made their way to the first year camp and got a first-hand look at what it takes to make it to the big time.

Ilkin, a 14-year NFL veteran and All-Pro with the Steelers and Green Bay Packers, once went over 25 regular season games without allowing a sack. Fresh off of two NFL clinics where he instructed professionals with the Chicago Bears and Indianapolis Colts, Ilkin turned his attention to a more youthful crowd on the campus of Geneva College.

Wolfley, along with Ilkin a current member of the Steeler′s broadcast team, spent ten of his 12 years in the NFL with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Like Ilkin, Wolfley has been making the rounds across the NFL at professional clinics. A six-day stint at the Cleveland Browns camp preceded Wolfley′s trip to Beaver Falls.

Geneva assistant and former NFL lineman Leo Wisniewski was pleased with the camps first year. “It was a great experience for these kids,” said Wisniewski. “Being able to have access to such great professional talents is certainly a feather in our cap for this camp and for Geneva′s football program.”

Wisniewski also expressed his intentions for another lineman camp during the summer of 2008, in which the plans will once again include the dynamic duo of Tunch Ilkin and Craig Wolfley. For more information, you can contact Wisniewski at ljwisnie@geneva.edu.
