BRISCOE NAMED ATHLETIC DIRECTOR AT

GRACECOLLEGE, ENDS TENURE AT GENEVA

Beaver Falls, PA - Chad Briscoe spent the last two years on the Geneva men′s basketball bench as an assistant coach under Jeff Santarsiero and most recently as an assistant athletic director in Geneva′s athletic department . Briscoe′s tenure at Geneva came to an end last week when he was named the new athletic director at Grace College, IN.

Briscoe came to Geneva after spending two years at Division I Ball State University as the program′s administrative assistant. Prior to arriving at Ball State, Briscoe spent two seasons at Anderson University, his alma mater, as an assistant coach. Also a stand out player, Briscoe spent six years with Fackelbararna, Nassjo and Bankeryd in the Swedish Basketball League.

Briscoe also enjoyed coaching experience for Sanda High School, one of two prep schools in Sweden during the 2000-01 season. Briscoe had a three year stint in the world of baseball as the general manager for the Pulaski Rangers, the rookie affiliate of major league baseball′s Texas Rangers, where he was recognized as part of the Appalachian Organization of the Year.

During his time at Geneva, Briscoe was instrumental in helping land the largest recruiting class in Golden Tornadoes′ history with a total number of 11 recruits joining the program prior to the 2006-07 season. During his two years, Geneva advanced into the American Mideast Conference post-season both years.

"We are going to sorely miss the contributions that Chad made to this program over the past two years," said head coach Jeff Santarsiero. "He had a great run at Geneva and we are sad to see him go, but are excited for his future at Grace College."

Geneva athletic director Geno DeMarco echoed those sentiments. "Chad is a tireless worker, who will be a great success in an administrative role. He brings a great love for athletics and a passion for student-athletes with him to Grace and we wish him nothing but the best in his new challenge."

Briscoe completed his Master′s Degree in Sports Administration last year from Ball State University.

He will take over as the new athletic director at Grace College in August. Grace College, an NAIA affiliated school in Winona Lake, IN, is a member of the Mid-Central Conference.
