BEAVER FALLS, Pa. - On Friday, Oct. 19, Geneva College will present a nation-wide simulcast of the "Lead Like Jesus: The Leadership Revolution!" seminar. Registration for the limited seating is available now.

Hosted by Lead Like Jesus co-founder Ken Blanchard and pastor Erwin McManus, the event is designed to inspire and equip people to be servant-leaders. In addition to Blanchard and McManus, other business and church leaders will speak at the seminar.

Sponsors of the event include: Geneva′s Master of Science in Organizational Leadership (MSOL); the Degree Completion Program (DCP); the college′s Business, Accounting and Management department; and Leaders Serving Beaver County.

"I felt strongly about Geneva being a focal point for the development of the servant leadership model which the Lead Like Jesus program promotes," says Joseph Bucci, a business professor at Geneva. "I have used these materials with my undergrad students. I wanted our students and local pastors and other leaders to benefit from this unique training."

Bucci, a friend of Blanchard, was involved in bringing the seminar to Geneva.

"The Lead Like Jesus materials really challenge believers in both secular and sacred vocations to consider Jesus as the greatest example of servant leadership, and they provide insight and instruction to support this," Bucci says.

Jim Dittmar, a MSOL faculty member, said that the seminar is an "opportunity to hear some of the leading management leadership authors, speakers and practitioners."

The seminar will be broadcast from Walnut Creek Presbyterian Church in San Francisco on the Christian Communication Network (CCN). Over 100 locations, mainly churches, in the United States and Canada will receive the live broadcast.

Dittmar said that this seminar fits the mission of the college, both in developing leaders who serve, and also bringing opportunities to the community of Geneva and Beaver Falls to hear acclaimed speakers.

"Geneva College's mission…aligns with the mission of Lead Like Jesus, which is to
glorify God by inspiring and equipping people to lead like Jesus," Bucci says. "I think people in our community would benefit greatly from the integration of their faith and their desire to grow their leadership skills."

Geneva College is a comprehensive Christian college of the arts, sciences and professional studies. Founded in the tradition of the Reformed Christian faith, Geneva prepares students to serve Christ in all areas of society: work, family and the church.
