New Wilmington, PA - All of the steam may have been taken out of Geneva′s women′s volleyball team went four grueling games to beat Grove City in the first of two matches at Westminster on Saturday night. The Golden Tornadoes were unable to keep their momentum with a loss to the Titans in the night cap.

Geneva opened the night with a 3-1 victory over Grove City, including a marathon 34-32 victory in game two to even the match. The Golden Tornadoes had a much easier time in games three and four to win for the fourth consecutive time. In the night cap, Geneva didn′t have much left and lost a 3-0 decision to host Westminster. With the two match split, Geneva moved its overall record to 8-15 for the season, including victories in seven of its last nine matches.

In the win over Grove City, Geneva featured four players with double digit kill totals. Adriane Blake led the offense with 23 kills to go along with five blocks and 23 digs. Teammate Sarah Bruck added 18 kills, while Elizabeth Fisher posted 13 and Michelle Zimmovan added ten.
