NATIONAL SPOTLIGHT SHINES BRIGHTLY ON
GENEVA CROSS COUNTRY AT NCCAA MEET

Cedarville, OH - Geneva′s women′s cross country competed at the 2007 NCCAA National meet at Cedarville University on Saturday. Geneva′s men were also represented by Phil and Josh Falk on the men′s side. Each of Geneva′s representatives did the college proud with outstanding performances all around.

Geneva′s women took seventh place out of a national best field of 24 schools. A total of four Geneva runners placed in the top 50 and three runners broke the 20 minute barrier for the first time all season.

Rebecca VanRegenmorter paced the women with a 33rd place finish with a season best time of 19:49. Teammate Susan Fletcher was 39th overall in another season best time of 19:57. Sara Morrison hit the 20 minute mark right on the nose for a 41st overall finish.

In men′s action, Phil and Josh Falk both turned in season best performances. Phil finished 53rd overall with a time of 27:42, while brother Josh was 59th in 27:59.

"I was absolutely thrilled for our kids," said head coach Bret Otte. "Each of them really rose to the occasion and saved their best performances for the right time. They have all trained extremely hard all season and the today′s result was a direct reflection of all that hard work throughout the season."
