PAC SELECTS TRIO OF MEN AND WOMEN

FOR POST-SEASON HONORS

Beaver Falls, PA - The Presidents′ Athletic Conference released its 2007 men′s and women′s All-Conference teams, which included coaches awards for Geneva and Saint Vincent, which are still in provisional mode.

While the women finished the season at 2-15-1, the men made an impressive turnaround in 2007 with an overall record of 12-6. Both teams were represented with a trio of players selected by the PAC coaches.

On the women′s side, all three seniors on Geneva′s roster were selected. Abby Young, Nicole Beadling and Jenna Witkowski were selected. Witkowski led Geneva with four goals and eight points, while Beadling finished with five points on the season. Young spent most of her time on defense and helped to mold a young group of players throughout the season.

Geneva′s men were represented in the PAC by a pair of freshmen in Scott Swartley and Russ Picard, while junior goalkeeper Sam McCracken was also selected. Swartley led Geneva with nine goals and 19 points, while Picard finished the campaign with seven goals and 18 points. McCracken registered seven shut-outs and posted a goals against average of 0.79.

McCracken joined Jonathan Hunt and Mark Zurbrick on the first team of the All-East region squad for the NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association). Swartley and Kenton Burkhart were NCCAA honorable mention selections.
