Dr. Robert K. Musil

BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – Dr. Robert K. Musil, an expert in contemporary global affairs, security, sustainability and health issues, will visit Geneva as part of the Colloquia Series. Musil will be on campus during the week of March 31 - April 4.

Musil was the CEO of the 1985 Nobel Peace Prize-winning Physicians for Social Responsibility, an advocacy organization aimed at stopping nuclear war and reversing global warming. Currently he serves as the Scholar in Residence and Adjunct Professor in the School of International Studies at American University.

Musil will speak at Geneva on Monday, March 31 at 7 p.m. in Skye Lounge on “Hope for a Heated Planet.” He will also speak on Friday, April 4 at 10:10 a.m. in Skye Lounge on topics related to environmental issues, global warming, politics, and the Christian response to environmental issues. During this time, he will also visit classes and offer a perspective on major issues and topics related to the global environment.

Musil is a graduate of Yale and Northwestern Universities, and the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. He comes to Geneva as part of the Woodrow Wilson Foundation Visiting Fellows program, which sends expert academics and instructors to institutions of liberal arts across the nation for one week of residency.
