Beaver Falls, Pa. - Geneva College invites students, neighbors, alumni, parents, faculty and the Beaver Falls community to pass the flame in a symbolic journey from Geneva′s birthplace in Northwood, Ohio to its current location in Beaver Falls, Penn. This torch relay will take place on Saturday, April 19 as part of Geneva′s 160th anniversary celebration.

A flame starting in Northwood will be transported across Ohio, with the journey culminating in a torch relay beginning at 5 p.m. at the Pennsylvania/Ohio border on Route 51. The plan is for 160 people to pass the torch approximately 12 miles to Old Main on Geneva′s Campus, finishing at about 8:30 p.m. Each volunteer will receive a free long-sleeved t-shirt and transportation to and from the route will be provided.

The deadline to register for participation in the torch relay is Monday, March 31. To register, go to: http://www.geneva.edu/object/torchform or call 724-847-6521.
