Early Camp Attendees
For students who are involved in sports camps, band camp, student leadership, or work study. Teams have various campus arrival dates; please check with your coach.
August 14
9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Skye Lounge Check-in

New Freshmen and New Transfers
For incoming freshmen and transfer students
Geneva's student development staff has planned an exciting week of meetings and activities that enable new students to meet one another, continue working on their Learning and Transitions course, and begin the transition to academic life at Geneva College. This year′s theme of Challenge Something Inside invites students to think deeply about who they are and who they are called to be.

Daytime events, as well as Thursday evening events, are mandatory. Students are strongly encouraged to attend all evening activities as well. Transfer and commuter students with job commitments should request this week off work.

Please bring the following items for your orientation experience:

Semi-formal attire Apparel with your high school′s name
3 wire clothes hangers Swim suit
Lego′s Outdoor work clothes
Water toys 1 pack of Ramen noodles
Money (specifically - $6.38) Flashlight


August 19

Complete campus check- in prior to moving into residence hall
Parents - Please visit the Parent Welcome Tent between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. in front of Old Main.
11:30 a.m. S&E 312A Spanish assessmentonly for students taking Spanish
12:30 p.m. S&E 312A Reading challenge exam
Only for students challenging their SAT/ACT score placement
1:30 p.m. S&E 341 Math challenge exam ONLY for those students challenging their placement as determined by SAT/ACT scores. Payment will be taken at the door.
2:30 p.m. JHW Chapel Bible assessment (make-up) Required of all new students who did not take assessment during Summer Preview
3:30 p.m. S&E 312A Advising meeting for CONDITIONALLY Accepted students (REQUIRED)
4:30 - 6 p.m. Alexander Dining Hall Dinner through the line following check-in
7 p.m. Metheny Fieldhouse Opening meeting
