GENEVATRIO RECEIVE PAC COACHING HONORS

Beaver Falls, PA - Geneva′s memorable volleyball season that concluded with an overall record of 22-11 came to an end a week ago. On Monday, the Presidents′ Athletic Conference announced its all-conference awards and a trio of Geneva players were honored by the PAC coaches.

Because Geneva is still in a provisional phase, the Golden Tornadoes are not eligible for All-Conference honors, but it can receive All-Conference coaching honors. Junior setter Brandi Snavely, sophomore outside hitter Adriane Blake and freshman outside hitter Rachel Kuegler each received honors.

Snavely led the PAC with her 10.51 assists per game (1198 assists). She also had 39 service aces and 300 digs in 114 games. Blake was the conference leader with 3.95 kills per game (450 kills). She was also the conference leader with 69 service aces and finished in the top five in digs with 541 for the season. Kuegler, in her first collegiate season, ended her year with 303 kills and 28 service aces. She averaged close to three kills per game and also added 198 digs.

The Golden Tornadoes had a memorable campaign with 22 victories including an 11-game winning streak in the middle of the season. Geneva finished the year with a record of 13-5 against PAC competition.
