On Thursday, January 22, Geneva College′s Academic Counseling Center and Educational Support Services (ACCESS) office will present an ACCESS fair to demonstrate its services to the students. Members of the Geneva College community are invited to the Benedum Room in Alexander Hall between 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. ACCESS Director Nancy Smith and Debbie Cashdollar, Tutor Program Coordinator will be available to answer questions.

The main objective of Geneva College′s ACCESS office is to provide assistance to students in their quest for academic success. The office pursues this goal by promoting successful independent learning, developing strategies for overcoming academic weaknesses and enhancing faculty efforts to help students achieve their potential, among other things. The ACCESS office also helps organize peer tutoring between students.

Besides services that are available to all Geneva College students, the ACCESS office also offers assistance to students with disabilities. From arranging extra test-taking time to providing note-taking services, the office works to the extent of its resources to support students. The ACCESS office can also provide academic counseling to all students.

Located in the lower level of McKee Hall, Entrance 6, the ACCESS office′s hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. To set up an appointment, contact Nancy Smith at 724-847-5566 or nismith@geneva.edu.
