Cedarville, OH - Geneva College′s indoor track and field season came to an end at Cedarville University on Saturday with the NCCAA national meet. A total of ten Geneva student-athletes competed on the national stage against the best the NCCAA has to offer.

In women′s competition, senior Rebecca VanRegenmorter proved to be the most effective entry with a pair of top ten performances. She was able to score with an eighth place finish in the one-mile event with a time of 5:24.65. She fell just out of the scoring race with a ninth place finish in the 800 meter event. Teammate Jamie Williams also came up short from putting points on the board with a tenth place overall finish in the triple jump. Geneva′s 4 x 200 relay team finished sixth to pick up three points. Kelsey Anderson, Jamie Williams, Aisha Moore and Tiffany Bear posted a closing time of 1:54.92.

Stephen Polite turned in a fifth place performance in the triple jump with a mark of 43-02.5. He also joined teammates Matt Susa, Shaka Sydnor and Corey Fraction for a seventh place finish in the 4 x 200 relay.

"We got a first-hand glimpse at some of the best athletes in the country," said head coach Bret Otte. "This was some great experience for our program as we got the chance to see exactly what level we are striving to achieve. I am very proud of the effort our student-athletes turned in this weekend and it certainly gave us something to build on for the future."

Host school Cedarville University won the overall event on the women′s side of the competition while Bethel, IN edged out Indiana Wesleyan to grab the national title in men′s action.
