BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – Geneva College welcomes Dr. Gary Pritchard to the campus as part of its Colloquia lecture series. Pritchard is a writer, journalist, scriptwriter and filmmaker based out of Newport in Wales, UK. His doctoral work at Azusa Pacific University was on strengths-based education, which focuses on developing students′ strengths and talents.
With a background in television and print media, Pritchard serves as associate dean of the School of Art, Media and Design at the University of Wales in Newport. He also teaches in the M.A. in Animation and Film program at the International Film School of Wales in Newport. His portfolio includes writing for the BBC and HTV, conducting scriptwriting workshops such as the Celtic Film Festival, and he recently served as a jury member at the Brief Encounters Film Festival in Bristol.
Pritchard will speak on Thursday, Feb. 5 at 7 p.m. and on Friday, Feb. 6 at 10:10 a.m. Both events will be held in the Skye Lounge on Geneva College′s campus, and are free and open to the public.
