PAC QUAD MEET COMES TO GENEVA, BEAR IMPRESSIVE FOR WOMEN, REX WINS FOR MEN

Beaver Falls, PA - Geneva College was the site of a Presidents′ Athletic Conference Quad Meet on Wednesday with a skeletonn crew for the Golden Tornadoes performing quite well. The men′s team managed 80 total points while the women finished third with 107 points. The Washington & Jefferson men′s team took first place with the Bethany women taking the top spot.

Geneva is starting to build quite an impressive sprint team. On the women′s side, Tiffany Bear took first place in the 100 meter event while Bobby Rex won the men′s 200 meter race. Rex also took first place in the 100 meter race with teammate Corey Fraction finishing in second place. Aisha Moore finished first in the women′s 400 meter event then joined teammates Sarah Wilson, Jamie Williams and Bear to finish second in the 4 x 400 meter relay with a time of 4:26.34.

Senior Rebecca VanRegenmorter continued to shine with a first place finish in the 1500 meter race and a second place finish in the 800 meter race. The Golden Tornadoes featured three first place finishes in the women′s field events. Tiffany Bear came off the track to win the long jump at 16′06.75 and the javelin with a throw of 137′00. Jamie Williams won the women′s high jump with a leap of 4′09.75.

Stephen Polite finished second for Geneva in the triple jump while Dan Dillman took home a pair of third place finishes in the shot put (43′07) and discus (131′08).
