Fun Ride to cap off 160th

Beaver Falls, Pa. - To conclude the year-long celebration of its 160th anniversary, Geneva College will host a 15-mile Fun Ride for students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members on Saturday, April 18. This bicycle ride, which is part of the college′s Founders Day celebration, will start at 3 p.m. at Maxwell China in East Palestine, Ohio (on Ohio SR 14, which is Pa. SR 51).

Riders will travel 15 miles, ending at the Geneva College campus in Beaver Falls, Pa. Water and snacks will be available at two stations on the course. At 4:30 p.m., the expected end of the ride, participants will be welcomed by a jazz band and provided food and soft drinks at a finish tent.

The basic route for the Geneva College Fun Ride is:

  • Start at Maxwell China in East Palestine, Ohio, and proceed east on OH Route 14/PA Route 51.
  • Pull into the parking lot of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church for an assisted crossing of Route 51.
  • Proceed down Route 168.
  • At the intersection, make a right and then a left Jack′s.
  • Continue on Wallace Run Road (Route 551)
  • Make a right on Fourth Ave. (Route 18).
  •  Turn left at 40th St. and continue on College Avenue to Geneva College for the finish and celebration

Advance registration is required and is $15, but last minute sign-ups on the day of the event are possible for a fee of $20.
