Geneva College 160th Anniversary Bike Ride

As part of its Founders Day celebration to end its 160th anniversary year, Geneva College is hosting three bicycle rides this weekend - Friday April 17 and Saturday, April 18.

Starting on Friday, April 17 a group of ten seasoned bike riders are setting out from the college birthplace of Northwood, Ohio for a 250-mile trek to Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pa.

On Saturday, April 18 this group of seasoned bike riders will meet up with Geneva College students, faculty, staff, alumni and neighbors near the Pennsylvania-Ohio border by for the 15-mile Geneva College Fun Ride. The Fun Ride starts with a large group start at Maxwell China at 3 p.m. and finishes at the campus on College Hills in Beaver Fall.

And now there is a six-mile Short Fun Ride starting at the Primitive Methodist Church on Rt. 551 and Shenango Rd. Riders opting for the shorter, mostly downhill ride can join up with the rest of the cyclists for a 4 p.m. start.

For the safety and comfort of all riders, water and snack stations are located along the course. Riders will be welcomed back to campus with a Jazz band performance and refreshments upon completion at 4:30 p.m.

Online registration is still accepted up to Friday, April 17 by 4 p.m. by clicking here. Participants may also register at the start of either Fun Ride. The cost for the 15-mile ride is $15 before the event or; $20 on the day of the event. The cost for the six-mile ride is $10 before the event; $15 on the day of the event.
