Andrew Colbert received the H.Y. Benedict Fellowship from the Alpha Chi national academic honor society. 
2009 Geneva College graduates Andrew and Sarah (Brooks) Colbert.  

This spring, Geneva College senior Andrew Colbert received the H. Y. Benedict Fellowship from the Alpha Chi national academic honor society.

Colbert, who has graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Christian ministries and linguistics, received the award for his paper entitled “New or Renewed? A Study in the Biblical Theology of Creation and Restoration.” He developed the paper for a Biblical Theology course taught by Dr. Byron Curtis, Geneva College professor of biblical studies.

Fifty-seven students nationwide applied for the H.Y. Benedict Fellowship, but only 10 students received the award. Colbert will receive a stipend of $2,500 for his first year of graduate study at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School near Chicago.
