This fall, the Geneva College Counseling Center will move from Hamer House, across the street from the college on Route 18, to a more central facility on campus. The counseling center′s new location is McKee Hall, in Geneva′s infirmary and health services office. The infirmary and counseling services will share the same entrance, waiting area and reception personnel.

“Thanks go to the education department, and particularly to Dr. Nancy Johnson, whose willingness to move offices allowed the infirmary space to be expanded,” says Provost Ken Carson. “Also, to the psychology department who worked long and hard to create a counseling function on campus. Much effort was spent to create the counseling center.”

The Geneva College Counseling Center is available to both the campus and local community and offers help and support to anyone struggling with emotional issues. All counseling is conducted in a manner consistent with the Christian philosophy of Geneva College.

Geneva College is a comprehensive Christian college of the arts, sciences and professional studies. Founded in the tradition of the Reformed Christian faith, Geneva prepares students to serve Christ in all areas of society: work, family and the church. Geneva College′s philosophy of education is based on the Foundational Concepts of Christian Higher Education.
