Pittsburgh, PA - Both Geneva and Chatham found itself in unfamiliar territory in Thursday′s Presidents′ Athletic Conference volleyball match-up. The Golden Tornadoes had only played two five-game matches to date and Chatham had only won one match all season. But both teams found themselves coming down to the wire in a five-game shoot-out. The Golden Tornadoes prevailed by the score of 3-2 with a 15-12 victory in the fifth and final game.

Geneva cruised to a game one win by the count of 25-11 and had a similar performance in game four winning 25-9. But games two and three went to Chatham by scores of 25-22 and 25-23. Geneva improved to 12-5 on the season and put its two-match losing streak to bed with the victory.

The Golden Tornadoes got contributions from just about everyone on the roster including a game high ten kills from Kristland McCracken. Teammates Emily Bestor, Maggie Bowersox and Rachel Kuegler each chipped in with nine kills apiece. Brandi Snavely continued to orchestrate the offense with 25 assists. Defensively, Geneva was led by Paige Banyas with a career high 29 digs in the victory.
