Latrobe, PA - It was not exactly the script Geneva head men′s soccer coach Todd Beall had written for his team on Saturday at Saint Vincent. Falling behind by two goals on the road is never an easy remedy to come back from. The Golden Tornadoes showed up better late than never and pulled out a 3-2 victory to push their win streak to six games and improve to 12-4 on the season. The 12 victories match′s the season total from each of the past two years with three regular season matches still on the docket.

Geneva watched the Bearcats score two first half goals before it was able to respond. But before the halftime whistle, the Golden Tornadoes managed to get back to square one. Goals by Bruce Fox and Matt Weaver tied the game heading into the second half. The game remained tied until Geneva′s leading scorer Josh Mann broke the deadlock with five minutes remaining in regulation. The Golden Tornadoes and senior goalkeeper David Callahan made that goal stand up for their 12th victory of the season.

Geneva has not lost since October 2nd and improved to 6-1 during the month of October. The Golden Tornadoes will visit Point Park on Monday before returning home on Wednesday for the regular season home finale against Waynesburg. Geneva closes out the regular season next Friday against Thiel College.
