Beaver Falls, PA - The script was written perfectly for Geneva′s only senior on Wednesday night. Playing in his final regular season game, senior goalkeeper David Callahan picked up his sixth shut-out of the season as he and the Geneva College men′s soccer team rolled to their eighth straight victory with an impressive 5-0 decision over Waynesburg University. The victory moved Geneva′s overall record to 14-4 as it continued to roll through the Presidents′ Athletic Conference having not lost a match since October 2nd.

The offensive came early and often for the Golden Tornadoes as they posted three goals in the first 19 minutes of action. Jake McCracken launched a blast from 25 yards out seven minutes into the match after receiving a feed from Josh Mann to get Geneva on the board. McCracken and Mann switched roles on the second goal as it was Mann′s turn to find the net for his team leading tenth goal of the season in the 12th minute of action.

Teddy Krzywiecki put Geneva up 3-0 after depositing a ball from Austin Petrie past the goalkeeper. The second half started much like the first as it was Petrie′s turn to get on the board on a feed from Alan Hale. Then the Hale storm started as the freshman scored his first collegiate goal with 17 minutes left on the second half clock.

Callahan made five saves in registering his sixth shut-out of the season in front of his mother who made the trip from Phoenix to see her son play his final regular season home match.

The Golden Tornadoes close out the regular season on Friday at Thiel before awaiting the start of the NCCAA regionals later in November.
