Beaver Falls, PA - Geneva′s work for the regular season is far from over as the Golden Tornadoes travel to New Wilmington on Saturday for the 112th edition of the Geneva-Westminster rivalry. On Wednesday, the Golden Tornadoes received a call from the NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association) inviting the 7-2 Golden Tornadoes to their record sixth Victory Bowl.

Geneva will meet Greenville College, IL (6-2) next Saturday, November 21st at noon. The only piece of the puzzle that is not decided is where the game will be played. That information will not be forthcoming until the results from Saturday′s games are complete. Greenville is also an NCAA Division III school that plays in the SLIAC (St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) and will close out its regular season schedule on Saturday against LaGrange.

While Geneva will be participating in its sixth NCCAA Victory Bowl, Greenville will be playing in its first. The Golden Tornadoes are 4-1 in their previous five meetings including a 27-6 victory over Maranatha Baptist in their first trip in 1998. Since then, Geneva has defeated Mid-American Nazarene, Northwestern and North Greenville. Most recently, the Golden Tornadoes dropped a 45-17 decision to Malone College in the 2007 Victory Bowl at Reeves Field. Geneva has hosted the game twice including the 2007 match-up and in 2003 against North Greenville.

Geneva is coming off a 21-12 loss to 10th ranked Thomas More last Saturday. It′s only two losses came against a pair of top ten teams including Washington & Jefferson back on October 3rd. Should Geneva get the opportunity to host the Victory Bowl, it will put its perfect 5-0 record on the line. It has been 14 years since the Golden Tornadoes completed a perfect home season.
